DCLA PERFORMANCE COMAPIES
I WILL WAIT BY CIEERA CROWLEY
DC Dance LA offers Performance Companies and Competition Teams for dancers who are ready to commit to a higher level of training and performance. Auditions for companies and teams are held annually in May and August.
Performance Company dancers participate in our annual Nutcracker, community performances, our End of the Year Recital, and at least two competitions or conventions each season. Competition Team dancers attend three to five competitions per year. DC Dance LA proudly participates in top competitions and conventions nationwide, including 24/Seven, Hall of Fame, West Coast Dance Explosion, NUVO, JUMP, WCDE Nationals, Dancerpalooza, and The Dance Awards.
Being a member of a DC Company or Competition Team requires a strong commitment to training, discipline, and intentional practice. For truly passionate dancers, it is one of the most enriching experiences—fostering growth, confidence, and lifelong friendships. Company members may also qualify for independent PE credit in many school districts.
DC Dance LA company dancers frequently continue their training as university dance majors and pursue professional dance careers. Recent graduates have gone on to attend NYU Tisch, UCLA, Dominican University (LINES Ballet), Chapman University, and Steps on Broadway Conservatory. DC Dance LA alumni are currently working professionally with & Juliet on Broadway, FLOCK Dance Company, Royal Flux Dance Company, and on The Weeknd’s “After Hours” Tour, among many others.
